LRPNA Annual Meeting 04/01/07

The LRPNA held its annual meeting on April 1, 2007 at the National Guard Armory. Among the topics discussed were:

• Financial Report
• Presentation by Rich Sanders, Representative of the Country Club Homeowners Association
• Current state of the Judicial Complex and the new Justice Center.
• Sewer line construction along Los Cordovas Road
• Presentation by board member Mark Cowan who is also the property manager for the Klauer Manufacturing Company
• Discussion of a public hearing that was to be held on Tuesday, April 3, 2007 at the Taos County Commission Chambers to consider a special use permit to build a cluster of eight (8) condominiums on four (4) acres in two (2) phases.
• Registering a domain for the LRPNA website.

The Lower Rio Pueblo N.A. has officially been approved by the County. We had a general meeting on Tuesday May 24 with a disappointing turnout. Attached is a copy of the minutes of the meeting. As stated in the body of the minutes, there are a lot of changes going on in the neighborhood. We understand that although a lot of our members live out of town, we urge all the local residents to attend our meeting at the end of June. We will inform you of the date, place and time. We need to form a strong and active neighborhood association.

Please make it known to each of the County Commissioners your feelings about a Justice Center/Jail Complex on County Road 110. Thanks to all of you that have sent in your dues.
